The Ripskate from Razor, the Xlider and the Twin skate from Hurdora are very similar. The movement you have to make with these skates is almost identical to that of the wave board or caster board. The transition from a Ripstik Air to a Ripskate is only small. It looks very spectacular when you ride these twin skates. You are extremely agile and can gain forward speed very easily.
Each deck is equipped with 2 casters or swivel wheels that can rotate freely. Almost every movement you make with the ripskate creates a forward movement. You can twist, skate or slalom on them, you always move forward with the skates.
The position of the feet is very important and you should be in the middle of the skate. I have even seen boys riding with two feet on one skate. It looks much more difficult than it is.
The Hudora Twinskate stands out in terms of riding. The deck is large and has a lot of grip, the wheels are large and the casters turn smoothly. The price is very low for the fun you have with this and it is a size independent product. It always fits under your feet. The Xlider is beautifully finished and drives just as well as the Hudora, only the price is triple. The ripskate has too small wheels and too small a deck and does not come close to the other two in terms of riding. Only the connecting piece is a plus, but I expected more from Razor
The Xlider is currently not sold by the Streetsurfshop, but we hope to be able to add it to our range again in the future.
