A fingerboard (finger skateboard) is a working replica of a skateboard. Although the first fingerboards were exclusively mini skateboards, there are now many different fingerboards in the form of mini skates, mini snowboards or skis, not to mention the finger BMX and finger stunt scooter. A finger board is made on a scale of approximately 1 to 8. Initially, finger boards were intended to work out small maneuvers for real tricks in the skate park. Now fingerboarding is a sport in itself and requires a lot of dexterity from the fingers. A good fingerboard also features miniature bearings for the wheels and bushings for the trucks.
In the 1990s, the first fingerboards from Tech Deck were designed with the images of existing skateboard brands as sales support and branding of the skateboards. Tech Deck continues to release many new fingerboards from existing skateboard brands, making Tech Deck the largest brand in finger skateboards. I'd like to say collect them all, but that's just too many. Collect from your favorite skateboard brand, there are already many.
In addition to Tech Deck, P-Rep, River, Soldier Bar, Grip and Tricks, where the top models of some brands cost more than 200 euros each.
A fingerboard of course also needs a fingerboard park and ramps, spines, grind rails and ramps are available for this. You can build a complete fingerboard park with these individual park parts and perform an infinite number of series of tricks. The better park components have metal gravel rails and are made of wood, and many unique Obstacles, such as pyramids, containers and special blocks, are also released that can be included in the park.
Many of these avid fingerboarders record their tricks on camera and you can find many of these fun videos on YouTube. Grip and Trick supplies mini pants with knee pads as standard with their fingerboards, which you can put over your fingers, making it even more fun.
Streetsurfshop sells many standard fingerboard park parts, but the most beautiful parks remain the ones that are made from scratch. These are unique and very well made. Fingerboarding is for all ages. Even when you are 40+ you should just start fingerboarding if you like it. Don't let it stop you because it would be childish. So What!!! Only people who have lost the child within them say that. I say just do it!!
